 Fri. Aug. 30 – Music at the Café –   Barbara Carnicelli on Keyboard

Sat. Aug. 31 - Square “Tulip” Gathering Basket Class - 9:00 am – 4:00 pm ET – Learn how to make a gathering basket from instructor Katie Avram and add the “tulips” after the basket is finished or make it plain with an optional wooden handle. All supplies will be provided. Workshop fee is $40. 

Fri. Sept. 6 – English Country Dancing – at the Friendly House (tentative)
 

Sat. Sept. 7 - Community Potluck - 7:00 p.m. at the Friendly House

Sun. Sept. 8 - "Afternoon of Music" at Christ Church, Rugby, beginning at 2:00 p.m.  The choir will perform several pieces, along with congregational singing of old time hymn favorites. We invite everyone in the community and the Rugby Road Methodist and Brewstertown Church of God congregations to join us for this event and a potluck lunch beforehand at 12:30 in Friendly House.

Sat. Sept. 14 - Twill Market Basket Class - 9:00 am – 4:00 pm ET – Instructor Katie Avram will teach the more challenging twill weave that results in a handsome market style basket. All supplies will be provided. Workshop fee is $50.

Sat. Sept. 21 - Appalachian Heritage Day.  This fun event for all ages will take place on the grounds at historic Uffington House. Enjoy the traditional crafts and old-time skills of mountain living!

Sat. Oct. 5 - Michaelmas Festival - contact Bethany or Dorcus for information 

Sat. Oct. 12 - Hearth Basket Class - 9:00 am – 4:00 pm ET – Katie Avram is back to teach you how to make this easy hearth basket that is great for gardening tasks or holding kindling by the fireplace. All supplies will be provided. Workshop fee for the small basket is $32 or $42 for the medium basket.

Ongoing Activities

Quilters’ Group - Wednesdays and Saturdays, 2–4 p.m. Eastern, at the Friendly House behind Christ Church Episcopal.

Christ Church Episcopal -- Sunday morning services, 11 a.m. Eastern, year round; all are welcome
