Work on Rugby bypass continues...

This past week, a lot of trees were pulled up and ground was moved on the west side of White Oak Creek.  The three images give a quick glimpse of the tremendous amount of work that has already been done.   The picture on the upper left shows one of the many white tags that were blowing in the wind, Saturday.  These tags mark the location of the roadbed.  The upper right picture shows three Caterpillar excavators resting over the weekend, ready to move onto the next area of work, next week.  The lower picture shows where the bridge will cross over the White Oak.   The picture was taken on the west side of the creek, fairly close to the riverbank.  Unfortunately, the picture does not give a good perspective of how high the bridge will be.  Although not as high as our bridge on the west of Rugby, the bridge will still span over the ravine at an impressive height. A few more pictures are available at this site.

Rugby Week Taking a Break

Both this and next, Rugby Week is being done a little differently. Only the calendar of events will be updated. If you have any items that need to go in the calendar of events, please email them to Benita Howell at bjhowell@highland.net Also, you will not receive an email reminder about the weekly updates. If you want to check the calendar, just go to the usual website http://rugbyweek.blogspot.com/ on Monday mornings or later to see if anything has been added or deleted.  Our regular format will return on February 28th.
